Pam is a relative newcomer to photography starting out in 2003 after her eldest son Jason started producing some fantastic photographs with a Canon EOS 300D. Beginning with a small “Point and Shoot” Canon Powershot A60 the bug soon had a firm hold and after a series of digital cameras has now settled on the Canon EOS 1D Mk III with a good section of lenses.
Based in Auckland the close proximity of Tiri Tiri Matangi Island is favorite spot for New Zealand native birds and Pam alike, a beautiful slice of paradise that has provided opportunities for some great images of a number of endangered birds. Pam joined the North Shore Photographic Society in June 2006 as a C grade member and now less than 2 years on is graded as “Masters” Entering The North Shore National Salon of Photography in 2007 (her first competition) Pam gained two honors for her images titled “Foggy Start” and “In-ferrier” both of which were shown in the Aotea Centre during the Salon. As a member of the Photographic Society of New Zealand since March 2007, Pam has been a regular entrant to the ‘PSNZ Canon Bi-monthly Online Competition’ and has recently been published in the NZ Camera 2008. |
